♥Valentines Day Ideas♥

For those of us that aren't rich and famous, here are some [cheapy] ideas to do for significant other. It's always the thought that counts, don't let anyone tell ya different. The day can be as special as you make it, you don't have to spend a million dollars.

♥Candles [and lots of them]♥
Candles always make the atmosphere relaxing and romantic. This is probably the most important thing to have if you can only do one thing. You can get perfectly good ones at Dollar stores, Target or Wal-mart. Spread them around the house or just in the bedroom. (But be careful and don't start a fire! Make sure you blow them out before you go bed!)

♥Romantic Dinner at home♥
Nothing's more intimate than a dinner for 2 at home. Set the table with candles and flowers and make your favorite dish. If you can't get a babysitter for your midgets, set up dinner for them in another room, then you'll still have some romantic time to yourselves.

♥The Love Nest♥
Spend only a couple dollars and get some [fake] rose petals and candles. Depending on how much you get, spread them on the bed and floor all around the bed. This instantly turns your room into a romantic getaway and will definitely get you lucky! Haha.

Gift Ideas

♥Love Coupons♥
You can buy some or make your own and definitely make them personalized for your significant other. Examples: Coupon good for back massage. Coupon good for Mommy [or Daddy] time off. Coupon good for a romantic night out. Get creative!

♥Chocolates♥
It is cliche but [most] everyone loves chocolate. You can't go wrong! And to make it even better chocolate is an aphrodisiac! (go for the dark chocolates if you want this bonus)

The most important thing about this day is to let your partner know you are thinking of them and love them. You don't have to go all crazy with a ton of things, just make the day [or night] personal and intimate. They will appreciate any effort you do as long as their was some effort put in.

Have fun and Happy Valentines Day

My Bedroom

I've wanted to redesign and decorate my bedroom for a long time now, just wasn't sure what I really wanted. The other night when I couldn't sleep I found some inspirational pieces that finally gave me the idea for the bedroom I want. Although I'm not sure how my husband will feel about it, I think it will be romantic, beautiful and just the haven I've been looking for.

These are the first pictures I found that I gave me the inspiration for the entire room. I'm hoping to find some pieces just like this for my vanity/desk.

Hopfully I can find some fabric or wallpaper like this but in a darker pink. My trip to JoAnns yesterday came up with nothing. But I'm going to keep searching.
This bedding is exactly what I want! It's perfect! The wall is pretty too but it's a little too much pink. Hubby would freak out if I tried to put that on the walls.

And along with those things, some modern vases with orchids and lots of candles for the night stands and my headboard. I have this amazing picture in my mind of what the finished product will be like, I really hope it turns out. I don't think I'll ever want to leave my room again.

My Happy Place

It's so easy to get frustrated with life and all the things that go wrong or could go wrong, every day. But looking to the things that inspire us to do better, live better, follow our dreams, and cherish the amazing moments in life, helps [me] get through these times. I want to share the things, people, and places that inspire me everyday and make up this crazy thing we call life.

First and foremost: My little monsters
Without them there's No way I could carry on. They alone make life worth living and inspire me to be everything that I could possibly be. They've been melting my heart since the day they were born.

Second and right up there with first: My one and only
He pisses me off [a lot] but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love him more than words can subscribe! We're renewing our wedding vows on our 10 year anniversary {June 30, 2011)

Third: Photography
I have a camera surgically attached to my hand [not literally, but ya know]. I live and breath photography and am constantly looking at the world through a lens. I will be starting school in a couple months to begin my career [finally]. I'm so extremely excited!

Fourth: My Art (painting & drawing)
I also have a paint brush attached to me. :) I will be painting [and drawing] until the day I die. Sometimes it can be frustrating [cause I'm a perfectionist when it comes to this] but it's mostly the most relaxing and stress relieving thing I can possibly do. I could spend all my money on art supplies and be totally content with life.

Fifth: People that inspire me [& my art]
Fellow artists:
Charissa Miz
Her work is so stunning! Every time I see a new painting or drawing she's done it makes me want to get out my art supplies.

Dangerous Dolly
Pinup & artistic photographer who's work blows my mind. Such beautiful art!

My amazing best friends:
Crystal Garcia

Chelsea Robinson

Nicole Cotterell

Without these girls I would fall apart. They know how to cheer me up, make me laugh endlessly and I can always tell them anything and everything (especially tmi things that I would never tell anyone else). We've shared some crazy times and have been through hell and back.
♥I love my girls♥

Sixth: Places I Will travel to someday
New York
Paris
Rome
These beautiful places, I know, will inspire more art and definitely make my heart happy!

Seventh [and last but not least]: Music!
I believe music inspires the most in all of us. There's a song for every possible feeling. We need it, to live, to love, to breath. It's food for the soul.

Thank you to the people that continue to make me happy everyday and inspire all the best things in me.

You Haven't Seen the Last of Me

Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there's just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I'll get up again
Don't count me out just yet

I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me
You haven't seen the last of me

They can say that
I won't stay around
But I'm gonna stand my ground
You're not gonna stop me
You don't know me
You don't know who I am
Don't count me out so fast

I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me

There will be no fade out
This is not the end
I'm down now
But i'll be standing tall again
Times are hard but
I was built tough
I'm gonna show you all what I'm made of

I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
I am far from over
You haven't seen the last of me

No no
I'm not going nowhere
I'm staying right here
Oh no
You won't see me begging
I'm not taking my bow
Can't stop me
It's not the end
You haven't seen the last of me
Oh no
You haven't seen the last of me
You haven't seen the last of me
